Entire Courting Gift

And here are all the bits together!

Added in are a lotion bar and some little rose hair clips, plus a load of dried rose petals!

I love how it all looks together!

And this is it all tied up together, how I presented it on the night!

I want to make more of these, it was so much fun!

Perfume

I also made a little bottle of perfume for my courting gift!

The perfume is lemongrass and orange essential oil in a base of sweet almond oil.  

I found a free printable label on the internet and I already had this little bottle in my craft stash.  Doesn't it look sweet?  Making it was so much fun!

Embroidered Handkerchief

Next up from the box we have an embroidered hankie!

I made this from a scrap of cotton lawn and a scrap of lace than hemmed it beautifully!  The initials are backstitched and whilst it's very simple I love how it turned out!

Plus, playing with cotton lawn is one of me favourite things to do, so making this was such fun!

Lavender Heart

Next up in my courting gifts is this lavender sachet.

The roses are blue and orange, to symbolise the two characters joining.  I hand embroidered on a scrap of taffeta and backed it with velvet.

It's machine stitched and then pinked round the edges and I think it is adorable!

An In Character Courting Gift

My vampire character is courting another and as we had our Valentine's game I decided to have a little fun and make a courting gift.

This is a decoupage box from Hobbycraft which I painted to look like a book.

Katy kindly made me a stencil to do the title and then I sealed it with Mod podge.  I found the corners in the Works and hot glued them on.

I had so much fun making this!  I filled it with little bits I'll show you next time but for now I'll finsih up with some pics of the rose that I tied to the outside of the book to follow an ic game night custom of 'a rose for love and a book forever'.

The rose is blue organza with a garden wire ribbon wrapped stem and scrap of lining fabric calyx.

The book is in my paramour's colours, the rose my characters, to symbolise them joining together!

A New Bag for Nursery

Apparently a new bag was absolutely needed for nursery and it had to be embroidered.  Who am I to say no to a request like that?

It's calico and the design is madam's own (well in that she picked it from the presets).

It closes with a drawstring inside the bag in a bias binding channel, the drawstring was also chosen by madam but I think it's a lovely match!  Clearly she's developing an eye for such things!

IC Notebook

I decided Valentina needs a new notebook.  Most of my fellow clanmates favour a small black book, but that's never been Valentina's style so..  I made this cover for my book!

Isn't is adorable?!  The roses and name are machine embroidered onto a scrap of her original dress fabric and the trim down the side comes from her current newest ball gown.

The back fabric is an offcut I had from when I reupholstered my chairs!  It's by Tilda and its perfect for a girly Toreador like Valentina!

The note book originally tied with black ribbon but I didn't like that so I replaced the black with this adorable baby blue satin ribbon from my stash!

I cannot wait to use it at the weekend!

Pencil Case

I recently made a pencil case for a friend, that can be clipped into a ring binder!

I made the design on my embroidery machine, it was quite fun to come up with!

It's made of black cotton drill and lined in white lining fabric.  I use a light lining so the pens are easier to find inside it!
