I wore Valentina's white ball gown. Ostensibly I was Lilith, but it was mostly just an excuse to float about in a giant dress!
I did not fit in front of the mirror in this dress so apologies for the bulgy crinoline!
Here's me proving it's possible to sit in a crinoline and an armchair!
Floating in ball gowns is hard work, so I treated myself to a mocktail called 'cinderella' whilst I was all prettied up!

Discworld Con 2018!
I'm so very glad I got to go again and now the dust is settling again, I thought I'd blog what I wore!
Day 1 - I was of course, Magrat and reprised my dress from last time.
I do like this dress and I'm quite pleased it still fits, 4 years later!
Sneak peek of me all ready for bedtime stories as well!

New Cousin
Another new cousin! So lovely to see my family grow! As has become this year's habit, I sent a baby blanket!
I went full on floral for this one, because I really wanted to and luckily for me my cousin liked it!
So many pretty prints! Welcome to the world little P! Can't wait to meet you at Christmas x

New Baby Tree Outfit!
Dear me, the summer holidays appeared and ran away with me! I've been far too busy holidaying, day tripping and generally lazing on the sofa to have any bloggable stuff for the blog!
However, some commissions have gone out to find new homes and so can be shown, hurrah!
This was a super fun brief! My friend's ic group leader is expecting and as the baby has apparently been referred to as the tree of life, they wanted a tree larp costume for a 6-9 month baby (kit aged to when they might see the little one in the field!).
I found a great brown textured jersey to be the 'tree trunk' and a lovely mossy green fleece for the main 'leaf' colour.
I made a t-shirt and leggings for the baby, to be the trunk as it were and for fun I appliqued a birds nest onto the top.
For the poncho, I cut out a load of leaf shapes from scrap fabric and appliqued it over the fleece, then added a wooden button as a closure.
It was so fun to come up with! I really enjoyed making this and I hope the small one enjoys wearing it!

Smyrna gave me a make your own wish jar kit for my birthday! I went a little off piste from the instructions, but I love what I ended up with!
Aren't they sweet?

Baby Blanket
Ok, I was away for a bit longer than intended, but ah well! I've been out and about enjoying summer adventures rather than sewing!
My cousin has recently welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world so I sent a little present!
I do like making baby quilts! This is a cheery full on number, which will hopefully be of some use to my cousin in her new journey as a mama!
Welcome tot he world little one, I can't wait to meet you!

Nothing to See Here!
Whilst I have been crafting, most of it is for things that have yet to be made public so you're going to have to wait a while to see anything!
With that, I'm giving myself this week and next week off blogging! See you all in a fortnight!
(In the summer I prefer to be out on my bike rather than in the craft room!)
