Sweet Pea Blanket

I'm still working away at this, when Lizard lets me, anyway!

Look at that cheeky chocolate face!

Embroidered Patches

In between frantic crochet and super sekrit project making I've been playing with the embroidery machine, learning how to make patches!

I think these have all turned out quite nicely! :D

My current favourite is the skull and cross bones!  How about you?

Threads!

I can't show any of my current makes, as they are hopefully going to surprise someone in a couple of weeks, so for now, please admire all my new threads!

My Gran has been clearing out her work room and once again I am the lucky recipient! :D

Sweet Pea Crochet Along

No new sewing to show atm, crochet has taken over!

This is Lucy from Attic 24's swet pea trellis stripe blanket that I am joining in the crochet along for and currently very much enjoying the crochet journey!

It's coming everywhere with me (which is tricky now it's getting big!) and crochet consumes my days!

Such lovely colours though, to help me dream the cold dreary days away til summer comes and I can plant my sweet peas for real!

New Larp Fleece

I'm in the process of updating all my larp monster kit atm, so as to have comfy sensible gear that suits me!

This is an edited McCalls 6800, which I shortened and took some of the skirt fullness out of.

I also enlarged the pockets a bit as I want to be able to actually use them!

It's unlined and I used a zip to fasten it.  It is very comfy and warm and I am incredibly pleased with it!

Embroidery Patch - HEMA

My newest sewing machine makes embroidered patches!  So I made this one of my HEMA group logo!

Still needs a little perfecting, but I like it!

An Edited Blanket

Today I'm going to show you a super quick project I ran up for a friend of mine, to make his army blanket more versatile!

Cotton tape and toggles mean it can now be fastened very simply in a varity of ways!  This is it all meatly rolled up and ready to be slung under a kit bag!

The toggles are 2 toggles on a loop of their own so they can be removed and won't dig in if you use the blanket for it's intended purpose!

Here's a pic showing most of the loops!

This is it pinned into cloak shape!

It makes a pretty good cloak!  But add a belt, as we've done below and you get....

A hooded robe!

Lastly, all the tapes can be used to peg it out as a tent/roof shelter!  Here we are demonstrating it with the help of my washing line!

Lastly you can peg it up like this to make a sleeping roll/tent shelter thing!

Snowflake Ballerina Dress

When possible I like to accomodate the pseudo-nieces tastes and requests (I maintain Aunties are their to fill your life with sparkly stuff) and so I was very pleased to be able to make a snowflake 'ballerina' dress!

It's blue satin, with a snowflake printed organza overlaid on the skirt.  It has a snowflake printed ribbon waistband and a silver ribbon trim.

I really enjoyed making this and I think another couple might be made for other similarly inclined small ones!

Christmas Party Dress

I made a few versions of these, for the various pseudo-neices as Christmas gifts!  I am loving the read, gold and cream colour combination.

This one has a red taffeta bodice and a cream taffeta skirt, gold satin ribbon waist sash and red plastic buttons with little sparkles in them.

I'm so pleased with how they turned out!
