Birthday Project Bag
I freely admit I enjoy making bags! So much so they are my go to gift to make and when a friend had a birthday recently I knew a project bag for her knitting would be just be the thing.
It's black velvet, lined with baby blue satin and the drawstring channel is made of an embroidered ribbon. The drawstring itself is a satin ribbon.
It's a simple bag but I think the richness of the fabrics and the prettiness of the ribbon are just right.
One of these days I need to make myself some more project bags!

Tiny Monster Kit
Ages ago now I made Lizard and her friend tiny monster kit, because the idea got stuck in my head and it was too cute not to!
Little black sweatshirts (Lizard's is long because I like a long jumper but I shortened the other one as her friend is not yet walking).
I know Lizard loves her jumper and has already worn it out and about. In fact, all the pseudo-nieces are gratifyingly happy with their hand made clothes!
Apologies for the sideways-ness of this photo. Blogger is not behaving! Anyway I made them both tiny velour tracksuit bottoms to go with their jumpers!
This is largely because I have velour tracksuit bottoms to monster in and I figured I may as well continue my theme of accessorizing Lizard to match my outfit!
Sorry this is a late post, I've been having some problems getting Blogger to play ball.

Garden Pretties
The garden is in full on grow mode right now and I'm loving it!
It's hard not to spend all day just wandering out there and staring in amazement at my plants!

Elderflower Cordial
For the first time ever this year I made my own elderflower cordial!
My cousin was visiting so we went for a bimble along the canal together and picked many, many elderflower heads.
I added the lemons, oranges, sugar, water and citric acid and left it to work it's magic, then 24hrs later I had this!
Lovely bottles of a drink that smells like summer!
And here it is, a lovely summer drink!

Stars Part Two
So, I told you about my starry dress, but did I tell you about the other one I made?
Obviously, it's super important to accessorize your goddaughter to match your outfit, right?
I made her a slightly modified version of the Cottage Mama party dress, with button fastenings on the shoulders. I added a ribbon for her waistband in case it was a bit baggy and called it job done.
Isn't she a awesome? (I'm a very proud Godmother, just in case you hadn't guessed!)
We'd both like to take a moment to tell you we think cycle safety is ultra important. Please always wear a helmet when cycling. We do!

Stars
I do like stars. So when I came across a star spangled t-shirting in Germany I new I needed a dress! It's taken me a while to get round to it but I finally made it.
It's based off the Alabama Chanin t-shirt and dress pattern.
I have been so busy wearing it I've totally failed to take proper pictures of it, so here, have some dodgy ones of me climbing a children's climbing wall from a day out with Lizard and her mum!
Here's me and Lizard, both enjoying the climbing frame!

Unplanned Hiatus
Oops? Sorry all, I have been sewing, but I've also been out and about a lot, enjoying the summer. So I'm trying not to feel too guilty about not updating you all! However, I have some photos so I'll share now!
First up I made a hat for one of my climbing coterie. It's the same pattern as mine but I gave her bear ears instead of cat ears.
Here she is kindly modelling it for me at the beach where we and a few other friends spent a simply glorious Friday!
